Eternal Families

Updated: Nov 8, 2022

Dear Friends,

I grew up in Frederick, Maryland, about an hour away from the Washington D.C. Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This Temple was built and dedicated in 1974. My grandfather worked as a volunteer in the Temple, as did my Dad and later my brother. When I was called to serve as a full-time missionary to the Laotian people in Houston, Texas, in 1992, I went to this Temple.

Today, the Church released this virtual tour of the newly-renovated Temple. Some of the times when I have felt closest to Heavenly Father have happened in the Temple, usually when I attend marriages or "sealings" of family and friends. And some of my adoption clients--as soon as the court provides the decree of adoption--take their newly adopted child to the Temple to be "sealed" to them, as explained in this video. I praise God for the blessings my family and I have received in the Temple. Enjoy the tour!
